Kalen DeBoer’s best words after Alabama’s 14th spring practice
The annual A-Day Game from Tuscaloosa, led by Kalen DeBoer and his team, will bring in a new era of Alabama Crimson Tide football on Saturday afternoon from inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
On Thursday afternoon, Coach DeBoer and the Crimson Tide completed their last practice before A-Day. The head coach then met with local reporters to talk about his team’s performance and the impending scrimmage, which will be broadcast on ESPN.
Coach DeBoer’s best statements have been compiled by Roll Tide Wire before the Crimson Tide take the field for the much awaited spring game on Saturday.
First Remarks
Excellent drills conducted today. I’ve gone to practice number fourteen on a few occasions. It’s usually a low-key practice with a few situational items you’re working on. It’s also sometimes the practice the day before or the day before the spring game. Even just helmets and spiders, sometimes. However, our guys went in with shells and set to work, practicing for a few hours straight. Obviously not tackling in a shell, but our guys did some excellent stuff. rivalry. Had the opportunity to slightly change things up, one against two, two against one. The interesting part is that those two wanted to show off how far they’ve gone and played well today. They accomplished some great things.
and fiercely competitive in every way. The remainder of the practice was enjoyable, but we usually play twos versus twos and ones versus ones.
“An offensive against defensive format will be used for the spring game. There won’t be any split teams. For a few reasons. First, I consider it to be practice number fifteen. There will be a lot of scrimmaging, but it’s an opportunity for us to improve. It’s our opportunity to move forward.
An opportunity for us to assess it as well. Thus, make an effort to truly understand the fundamentals of playing football. It provides us with an opportunity to truly appreciate what we’re doing, where we are, and the moment spent with the audience. I’m thrilled to see the stadium filled and am looking forward to everyone’s support of our initiative.
He wants to add depth to some positions through the transfer portal.
Indeed, if you simply look at our roster and see the scholarship numbers—I know you all keep track of that—I would argue that our defensive backfield is definitely lacking one or two players. Line of attack, we’re probably lacking a guy. based only on the usual numbers that you would observe and our desired outcome. Not that we won’t look into it and assess it; you never know. We might be surprised by a few players on our roster as well. When that moment comes, we just need to stay flexible, be prepared to change, and keep an eye out for what’s ahead.
Parker Brailsford update
Because of his lack of practice this spring, I wouldn’t anticipate him being in right now. He also skipped practice today. I wouldn’t expose him to that situation. However, he will join us here as soon as possible for the routine exercises. He is taking every necessary step to ensure that he is prepared to depart.
